I can’t even tell you how much I needed sunshine, relaxation, AND a great party and I got ALL of that at Jenna’s wedding. Cabo Azul is a sexy, boutique hotel in Cabo Mexico, with gorgeous decor, floating mattresses in the pool, amazing food, and a ceremony spot to die for with a floating crucifix overlooking the entire resort and ocean. I was SO excited to shoot here. I was treated like and honored guest and the crazy thing is that Kris and I figured out that we both went to Syracuse University at the same time and I KNEW some of his groomsmen and friends! What a small world, and if THAT wasn’t enough, Jenna and I know a lot of the same people in the wedding industry and their best friends Anh and Allison were there (whose wedding I had photographed as well) so the cycle of 1 degree of separation from Jenna continues! In any case, I wanted to share some of my highlights from the weekend….Jenna’s dress and beaded sash were STUNNING. I LOVED the open back, hanging with the bridesmaids all day was fun in their embroidered pink robes, the mariachi band at cocktail hour, the cupcake tower instead of a cake, the hand-rolled cigar bar, Ang trying to pass out on the beach (which somehow turned into a frenzy of drunken sand angels LOL) and finally, the famous fireworks show….which NO ONE had to pay for. We’ll take it! Brunch and recovery by the pool was a total necessity the next day and I wish that it could have lasted a few days more! I had SUCH a blast being a part of your wedding. It was the perfect way to end my wedding season with a bang!
